Well here we go again. New forum, new posts, and a chance to ask the same questions again, and only those people that read the other forum will ever know!! Razz

With the WSOP going strong, I am about to make my journey out to Vegas and take a shot, or 2, or 3, or ??? I haven't decided how many, if any, of the WSOP events I'll be playing, however, I WILL be playing at Binion's (home of the USPT!) for a few events during the Binion's Classic, and at the Golden Nugget for the Grand Series of Poker. I'll be there from aroung June 19th to June 28th. Anybody else that might be there, let me know. I'd love to have a drink, and/or check raise a fellow USPT member.

PLAY STRONG!!!

Hey Squirrel,

We wish you luck at WSOP this year and hope you have the opportunity to cash there and downtown as well. Just a note on The USPT American Poker Championships at Binion's. Due to the current remodeling of the hotel at Binion's, we will be moving the APC to November 3-20, 2008. This change of event dates will soon be reflected in the USPT Tournament Calendar as well.

Go get 'em Squirrel!

My trip to Vegas during the WSOP this year has been an odd mix. I've had success in the satalites, prompting a small profit, and I had a great day at one of the events at The Grand series at the Golden Nugget that allowed me to cash fo much less than I thought I would considering how well I was playing (but who hasn't ran into that?). Not to mention a couple events at the Binion's Classic that I felt went about as well as they could with all things considered. The cash games were less of an issues this year, as I hit about even. The thing that struck me as the most odd, was how poorly the cash games at Binion's and the Nugget were set. The one that dissappointed me most was when I decided to just kill a little time at the 1-2 NL game in Binion's. With a $100 MAX buy-in, you really have no shot at playing. The stacks are very short, and even if you build a decent size stack, you're still going to be running coin flips for the other stacks at the table. At least the Nugget didn't have that issue, but the seat there were few and far between. Once a player was in there, they stayed unless they went broke. I made enough there to help with the bills, but not enough to brag about.

Overall I had a great time, but didn't feel my results reflected how I played. I made some amazing calls and lay downs during my days there, and feel I'm playing at the top of my game right now. I'm hoping I can get over the results, and keep the feelings I have about how I'm playing. My always try to focus my thoughts to "Play decisions, not results", and that what I'm trying to do now.

Good luck to all that may be out there playing.
